After the defeat in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona and the elimination from the Champions League by Arsenal, Real Madrid only has La Liga and the Club World Cup left this season (which begins on June 18).
As a result, the match calendar for this May is somewhat lighter since they are only playing in La Liga. In fact, with the five league matches scheduled this month, the league will come to an end. Could these be Ancelotti’s last games as coach?
The first of those matches will be this Sunday, May 4, against Celta at the Santiago Bernabéu. The following week, another clásico, this time against Barcelona at Montjuic — a match that could decide the title.
After those two games, only three matches remain: two at home (against Mallorca and Real Sociedad) and one away (against Sevilla).
