Updated at 20:50 – What a victory! They fought with everything. Even with Leupolz’s injury, the team held their ground brilliantly and secured a historic 2-0 win in the Champions League quarterfinals against Arsenal. A great result, but there’s still work to do in the second leg next week.
Caroline Weir didn’t shine today, but Bruun and Caicedo did, while the rest of the team performed at a very high level in a tough match due to the pitch conditions. But these are the kinds of victories this team needs—to win over Madrid fans and to gain more support from the club.
Congratulations to Alberto Toril, who has faced a lot of criticism, but matches like today’s prove that he is the right coach for this team. A team that is constantly evolving, improving year after year, and hopefully, they can deliver the final blow in the second leg and qualify for the Champions League semifinals for the first time in history.

💥 Athenea's shot is too hot to handle and Real Madrid double their lead against Arsenal!

Updated at 19:38 – A very good first half from Real Madrid, who have fought really well against Arsenal. It’s been a very tough match due to the weather, as it continues to rain and it’s cold. In fact, the pitch is in really bad condition.
The whole team is playing well, very focused and with quality despite the difficulties of the pitch. The best player in this first half has been Bruun, who is fighting for every ball and played a key role in the build-up to the goal. Although the goal came from Linda Caicedo, who took advantage of a defensive mistake from Arsenal and didn’t miss the 1v1 chance.
The match is at halftime with a 1-0 score. It’s very, very important for Real Madrid to win today to go into next week’s second leg at the Emirates Stadium with strong chances. We miss Caroline Weir a bit, who, despite trying, hasn’t created much danger. We need our star player. Come on, team! Hala Madrid!!
✨ Working with the elements, Real Madrid break through the Arsenal defense and Linda Caicedo gives them a superb opening goal!

Updated at 18:13 – For a few minutes, it showed that there were no tickets left. But now, it says there are still 218 tickets available. The stadium capacity is 6,000, so it looks like it will be almost full (5,782 people). Could this be a record for Real Madrid’s women’s division?

Updated at 18:04 – The team has arrived at the stadium on Real Madrid’s team bus (the funny part is that they came from just a few meters away from the training facilities, hehe). But it feels like a big day today. Funny to see Møller without a coat—even though it’s raining and cold in Madrid, it seems better than Denmark! ❄️😅
