In the match against Getafe, Jude Bellingham came on in the second half, and before entering the pitch, we could see how he was getting ready and how they were preparing the shoulder brace so he could play.

When did he get injured?
We have to go back to November 5, 2023, during the match against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu (0-0), where Jude Bellingham suffered a shoulder injury.
The brace is a solution often chosen by players when they sustain a shoulder injury. It’s designed to cushion and protect the joint. Bellingham is at serious risk of suffering a dislocation in that area.
He hasn’t undergone surgery and instead opted for conservative treatment, with specific training sessions to strengthen the muscles, along with taping and supports aimed at preventing further issues.
The reality is that since the injury, his performance dipped slightly, although he was still able to contribute in the final stretch of a very successful season in which five out of six titles were won (Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Intercontinental Cup). However, it’s clear that playing with that protection affects him and likely makes it harder to play naturally.
It’s hard to know exactly how much it impacts his performance, but it’s definitely a handicap.
When will Jude Bellingham have shoulder surgery?
He wasn’t able to have surgery because last season was very long, ending with the Champions League final (June 1), and then he had to play in the Euros. But the plan is for him to undergo surgery at the end of this season. After the Club World Cup, perhaps?
