Update 14.22: Exclusive: Real Madrid’s starting XI for the match. It’s more of a 4-4-2 than a 4-3-3, with Arda Güler in the lineup but playing more as a midfielder. Rodrygo starts on the bench and could be a game-changer in the second half, along with Modrić, Endrick, and Brahim. In defense, however, we’re quite short-handed, and Lucas Vázquez is starting (he was suspended in the Copa del Rey, but the suspension only applies there). Rüdiger, Alaba, and Mendy are all out after undergoing surgery. That leaves Vallejo (who hardly ever plays under Ancelotti) and academy players like Yousseff, Jacobo, and Víctor Muñoz as possible substitutes.
Update 14.17: Remembering the two goals by Jude Bellingham that gave us the win the last time we played Barcelona there in La Liga (a victory that was key to winning the league). In fact, we started that match losing 1-0 and ended up winning 2-1 thanks to those goals—especially the first one, which was an absolute stunner.
