Today, the team held their final training session ahead of tomorrow’s match against Deportivo Alavés (note: the match kicks off early at 4:15 PM Spanish time).
Carlo Ancelotti gave the pre-match press conference, which you can watch here:
After that, the squad list was released, featuring some good news: Dani Ceballos is finally back from injury! That’s a big boost ahead of the Arsenal match. We’ll see if he gets some minutes tomorrow to regain rhythm before Wednesday. (Arsenal drew their Premier League match 1-1 and rested several players, so it would be wise for Ancelotti to do the same… though knowing him, it’s unlikely—but we should still expect some rotation.)
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
- Goalkeepers: Courtois, Fran González and Sergio Mestre.
- Defenders: Alaba, Lucas V., Vallejo, Fran García, Rüdiger and Asencio.
- Midfielders: Bellingham, Camavinga, Valverde, Modrić, Tchouameni, Arda Güler and Ceballos.
- Forwards: Vini Jr, Mbappé, Rodrygo, Endrick and Brahim.
The team traveled there this afternoon and will be spending the night in Vitoria at the Gran Hotel Lakua, so they can take things easier ahead of the game tomorrow. Several fans were lucky enough to get autographs from the players at the airport and upon their arrival at the hotel. The players were wearing the official purple tracksuit, which you can buy here from the official Real Madrid store.
