19:20 – The bus is now on its way to the stadium, after all the academy players greeted the team to cheer them on. A big Madridista family. In 10–12 minutes, they’ll arrive at the stadium. The arrival is going to be epic.

19:10 – We guessed it! It’s the one we told you about a few hours ago. The starting eleven for the match is now confirmed.
Starting XI: Courtois, Lucas Vázquez, Asencio, Rüdiger, Alaba, Tchouaméni, Valverde, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Mbappé.

18:57 – The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is already ready for the match—just 2 hours to go. The area around the stadium is already packed. At 7:00 PM, Ancelotti will give the pre-match talk, and then the team bus will head to the stadium (it takes about 12 minutes from the training ground to the stadium). After that talk, we’ll find out the starting eleven.
18:28 – Already lots of fans are waiting for the arrival of the Real Madrid players’ bus.

17:50 – Real Madrid’s social media is hyping up the match with this video:
17:45 – We’re keeping an eye out for Real Madrid’s starting lineup — to see if Ancelotti decides to shake things up and try something different, or if he goes with the usual setup we’ve seen in recent matches. Depending on which source you read, you’ll find different predictions. The most reliable when it comes to Real Madrid is usually Marca, and they just published their take.
According to them, it looks like Lucas Vázquez would play as right-back, Valverde in midfield, with Asencio and Rüdiger as center-backs, and Alaba on the left. Tchouaméni would join Valverde and Bellingham in the middle. The big question, they say, is whether Rodrygo or Modric will start, alongside Mbappé and Vinicius up front.
Personally, I don’t think Ancelotti would dare leave Rodrygo out in a match where we need a comeback… but we’ll see.
Our prediction: Courtois, Lucas Vázquez, Asencio, Rüdiger, Alaba, Tchouaméni, Valverde, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Mbappé.

17:10 – It seems this will be the ‘tifo‘ that fans will display at the start of the match in the stadium. Let us know in the comments if you like it — we do! We love it! They’re also asking all fans to wear white today to fill the whole stadium with color.
17:05 – Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, and Josh Kroenke, co-chairman of Arsenal, led the delegations of both clubs at the official board meeting ahead of the match:

“What we want to do is try to change the mindset and play a serious match. With our heads, with our hearts, and with balls… as Alcaraz (tennis player) says”
– Carlo Ancelotti
“The word I’ve heard the most in the past few days is “comeback.” I must have heard it a million times this week. I’ve seen a lot of videos from fans, from the media… it really motivates us. It’s a night tailor-made for Real Madrid. It might be something that sounds familiar to people. There’s nothing more special we can add to this.”
– Jude Bellingham
