Real Madrid Revenue from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024

We are currently in the key competitive phase of the season, fighting for La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. However, at a club like Real Madrid, the financial aspect is just as crucial as the competitive one.

This is what allows the club to make annual investments in players, staff, facilities, and more, ensuring continued competitiveness season after season. A few months ago, we saw the figures for the 2023/2024 season, with the club reaching a historic €1 billion in revenue—the first club to do so—and setting a budget of over €1.1 billion for this season.

How is Real Madrid’s revenue progressing?

In a video by one of the best Real Madrid YouTubers, Fanáticos Real Madrid, the club’s revenue from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024 (half of the season) is analyzed in detail (is in spanish try to put subtitles and traslation, if not ask us in the comments below). You can find the full report here.

So far, Real Madrid has generated around €590 million in revenue. If the second half of the season follows the same trend, the club could reach €1.2 billion. However, this will depend on several factors—last season, for example, the club won the Champions League, and this season’s revenue will heavily depend on how far the team advances in competitions.

Where does the revenue come from?

    • Marketing revenue: €250 million so far, with a 40% increase in store sales and a 38% increase in sponsorships and licensing, which is the largest segment within marketing.
    • Broadcasting revenue: €82 million compared to €92 million in the previous period, marking an 11% decline. This aligns with what Florentino Pérez has been saying for years about Javier Tebas and LaLiga (as well as the Champions League), which is one of the reasons behind the Super League project. Tebas has repeatedly denied these claims on social media, but the financial reports from recent seasons—and now this one—clearly show that broadcasting revenue is one of the few areas not growing (and is now even declining).
    • Bernabéu Tour & RM Experience revenue: +85% growth, nearly doubling.
    • Bernabéu concerts and events: €12.6 million so far. However, all concerts have been canceled since September 2024, though events have continued. It’s also worth analyzing how concerts are accounted for—for example, the Taylor Swift concerts (the largest ever held at the stadium) took place in May, so their revenue might not be included in this figure unless it was received later and recorded in this period.

When looking at the officially reported revenue from the previous season (2023/2024), which totaled €1.043 billion, concerts and events accounted for €8.5 million. This suggests that the Taylor Swift concerts might be included there. What do you think?
